Pros and cons for tear down and clean

I've been detailing my k-9 for the past few days. I'm to the point where I am seriously considering a complete tear down to clean and polish. I just can't get into every nook and cranny. So I'm spending a lot of time trying too clean and polish around parts that it would just be easier to remove. I've already had front and rear fenders off cleaned polished buffed and all fasteners treated to fresh blue loctite.

My concern is wiring issues and oil leaks from the tear down.

Any advice? I know some of you doo this every few years. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
Damn, talk about a HI-JACKED thread.
I do a complete tear down to the frame every two years. It's a great way to get to know your girl really well, and caress and love each part of her. I'm not that far away, if you can't remember which tire goes on the front.

This is how I picture all you guys sometimes. We're all standing around talking, someone asks, "Hows this work?"And you'all stat talking about red light bulbs. Focus guys, focus. Big Daddy had a deep concern, about big things, on how much love was needed here.
