I never bashed the Wires Plus kit... I dont have enough experience to say any kit is better than the other...although it seems to be a recurring theme of bad Customer Service...
I did fire the Dog up last night.. and let him stretch his legs on a 30+ mile loop today... I tried to post a video..but have to chop the size down, I guess....
Knowing what I think I know now.. one of the things that turns people away from the Wires Plus kit, is the JST connection aren't pinned...Correct??? If so, I would have rather went with a kit that I Pinned after I fed the Backbone harness...that it where I had the most trouble....due to the JST terminals....
The RIP kit could have had a little better instructions for dumb asses like mysef... but I can say it was basically plug and play...
I do have a couple of issues that have come up... My blinker indicator on the Dash has a dim light to it... and the RPM does not show any lights at all.... (the Tach is the first thing I lost power to when the Dog shut down)... I'll work on those issues shortly... for now, I needed some wind therapy...
Good to hear the dog is barking his way around the neighborhood again.
I don't were you learned that the Wire Plus Kit does not have Pinned JST Connectors.
Nevermind I seen you said it was a previous problem.. Glad you got it done and running!!
After a few mis-pinning issues at the factory, which we have resolved by hiring a 3rd party to test all new EHCs, we have not had a single failure to-date under any circumstances other than when we shot the brain box with a 12-guage shot gun in these videos. That includes jumps, water, vibration, and anything else you can imagine the hardcore rider putting our EHC RIP kit through. Will it hold up to a jump from a running vehicle? This has taken some of the EHC's out in the past.
I just worked on a members bike that had the Gen I kit installed and his also has the dim back light through the blinker indicators. One other thing I noticed was his hi/low switch works different. You just push the low side to switch the beam from low to high beam. The high beam function on the switch serves no purpose. Took some time to get adjusted to that. According to the video, they corrected this with the Gen II...Thanks Brother...No they aren't working... and I have a little back light on my blinker indicator... nothing major...just not right yet..... when my EHC went out, the the Tack light went out right before he died.... Now I'm wondering if I messed up the Speedometer through all this....
I'll have to do some studying on the Speedometer problem and look into a Dakota Digital when I can build the funds back up...

I believe the run/off button is different also, you have to hit run to toggle it back n forthI just worked on a members bike that had the Gen I kit installed and his also has the dim back light through the blinker indicators.
