Dam unlucky to ride over a pen, nails and screws yes but a pen. Incredable.:roll::roll::roll:I just had the same thing and I loosened the axle nut and turned the left hand axle set screw about 1 turn to see if it would center the wear for the rest of the tire life, for an experiment, but then I ran over a big ass bolt and the tire was caput. I replaced with a new one and now I have to start all over.
This one by the way has 5k on it.

I read the link on tire wear, and this is the most probable cause, not road crown..:2thumbs:I put a new tire on mine just before sturgis due to the fact the left side was a little thinner than the right, it was getting close anyways but could of probably ran it another 1k miles. I also noticed I throttle harder out of left corners than right for some reason.? Possible that comming out of left hand corners causing my left side to wear a little more than right. Idk.
Misalignment. With my 04 Pit I could never get the alignment quite right, until I tore it down and aligned the motor Trans and rear tire at the same time. Runs true and has even wear (for Kansas anyway).What about right side wear, on a 2002 Pit Bull??????????
We have discovered this not to be the case, we know these bikes to handle wet roads with precision, agility and they inspire complete confidence. New tires and tires that will wear out soon, Big Dogs were meant to be rode in all weather conditions except the ice / snow. Grab too much throttle and the rider will be led to believe what you mention.I just found out this past weekend, that no matter how good your tread is on the rear tire, it's still gonna slide all over the place in the rain.

Right side of the road = Right Side Jack Azz!!!!Had the same on my Ridgeback but the other side as over here in England we ride on the correct side of the road. Had alignment checked and it was fine, had been running it at the recommended 42 since i bought it in February and only got about 3000 miles out of it, spoke to the bloke i bought it off and he was running it at 22 and recons he got about 5000 out of the one before. Decided to run it at 26 and if i have to put a new tire on every year so be it. On the plus side though after 3000 miles at 42, it now feels like i am riding a softail.

At least you get year round warm weather, I'd take that trade off.
