I researched this company and was hesitant about buying their product because of the consistent negative remarks about customer service and seemingly long wait times for product shipment. A Google search will reveal that if you decide to buy from this company you should expect a frustrating experience. What is even more frustrating is that once you receive their pipes, you realize they are not magical. The quality is good, but the performance gain is negligible, if any truly. I personally liked the look of my V&H 2:2 better.Great, Monday will be 8 weeks since I ordered. Called again this past week and they told me the same crap as last week in the chroming stage. Will keep you posted Midwest when I hear from them.
I really think you are too opinionated on the performance gain of the 2-1 pipe. The pipes do perform as designed as any 2-1 pipe will give gains over the V&H 2:2. If looks are your goal pick what you like. I liked the R&B 2-1 pipe I ran and removed the V&H 2:2 pipes and the gains were notable. I waited on them to build them as most do but it was worth it to me, just my opinion. A great looking pipe built to extract burnt fuel efficiently from your cylinders. I have not read any threads of people complaining about the fit, craftsmanship or performance of these pipes... I can read a bunch about the V&H 2:2 pipes dragging, mounts breaking and loss of performance... I hope those that are waiting totally enjoy there exhaust system when they get it and love the sound of them. Have not seen any for sale on the forum where they have been taken off but have seen plenty of the V&H for sale.... To each there own I guess...I researched this company and was hesitant about buying their product because of the consistent negative remarks about customer service and seemingly long wait times for product shipment. Pix please??? Would love to check out the new pipes on your scoot.Ok I was pissed about RB taking 3 weeks longer than they said it would to ship, I had the pipes installed 2day and they sound AWESOME! Anyone looking for better performance and better sound at least compared 2 stock I recommend these. Just dont be in any hurry 2 get them. Again awesome pipes!
To be 100% honest, I did not perform a study to compare power before and after the R&B pipes. What I can tell from my own personal experience is that when you wait 12 weeks for an exhaust pipe, and it finally comes, you have a certain expectation, whether realistic or not. I wanted this damn pipe to blow my socks off. I felt let down…. No noticeable gain for me – period. This is a nice looking pipe, good quality, so don’t get me wrong. Different motors with different setups will act differently. Over on a HD forum a guy posted that he lost 3 ftlbs going from a Thunder Header to the R&B 2:1. Others with the same motor may have gained 3 ftlbs, who knows, some maybe gained 10. It is ultimately the owner’s choice, I don’t care one way or the other. I am simply offering my experience; someone can take it or leave it. As long as we are all safe and have fun!I really think you are too opinionated on the performance gain of the 2-1 pipe. Id of thought with your build it would. Of been a noticable gain. If i was to spend any more on mine i was thinking their pro pipe.To be 100% honest, I did not perform a study to compare power before and after the R&B pipes. MARV, good to hear from you. The guy who did my build modified the Whimmer, essentially grinding some rough flanges, and flow benched the heads with the intake. I believe it was rated at 274 cubic feet per minute, slightly above the best Roland Sands. He had another bike in his shop with the S&S dual runner he ran on mine which fell a little shorter then the Rolland unit. I think when you push a bike to the max, you probably run into a wall... Thats why I bought the 200 RWHP boosted Ninja to cure my need for speed. My Big Dog gets the looks and rides nice. Although every toy ends up being a money sucking vortex.....Id of thought with your build it would. Of been a noticable gain. If i was to spend any more on mine i was thinking their pro pipe.
Do you think that wimmer is clogging you up?
