Realize where you are though pretty much all of us here in one form or another took the plung...I built mine but a lot of folks bought theres and ya you may have retired at 47 but you the one that made the rash move and then went and questioned yourself I spent over a year building mine do I have any regrets HELL NO would I do it all over again Fuck Yes but you might be right backing out cause you seem like one of those posers that needs his oil changed and will take it up the ass at the stealership if the bike has issues. Its folks like you that thought they were buying a motorcycle that didn`t break your buying a custom built machine and with that a certain amount of issues coinciede with that fact so I would suggest you go buy you a Honda Furby

Listen Don; don’t fret about resale value or parts. The site here is very resourceful and self sustaining. The majority of us have extra parts or know where to get them in case of the need (vendors who are members here). With the question of resale value in today’s economy, if you buy anything new you’re going to get screwed no matter how you look at it. If you bought the bike with a thought of making a profit or breaking even, then that’s the wrong reason to by these bikes or any other thing for that matter these days. In today’s world, especially our site, it’s a “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”. Our vendors and members are very supportive. There’s a wealth of knowledge here and a source for parts you can’t imagine. I believe this partnership will grow stronger and even better as the economy continues its unsteady course.

I have to say he has a reason to be pissed, not all the responses here are very adult like. I'm pretty sure these type comments would not be spoken in person so I think we have some computer muscle going on here. This is an awesome site but is in need of some serious moderating and a few assholes banned forever.

I know their were and they were great as well, I was away from the site a few months and come back to out of control posts. I'm no saint myself but I'm not gonna call someone bad names because they asked a simple question. I have a great sense of humor as well but I have my limits. We might have more new members if it wasnt for comments like's in this post.WoW

I understand the OP's dilema.
At the Orange County company store they offered demo rides. One putt on the Wolf and I was hooked. Loved the ride, loved the look.
I made an offer to buy the bike, as they had some demo days discounts available.
Called back the next day to close the deal, and they had let the sales manager go, and nobody knew anything about my deal. I needed to buy a California emissions bike, but they shipped the one I wanted to a dealer in Utah.
Next day they closed up the shop, and some buddies of mine had to hustle to get their Dogs out of the service department before it was locked up.
They had earlier closed the San Diego dealer, and now the closest warranty to me was over 2 hours away in Los Angeles.
Wanted that Wolf bad, as a bunch of my buddies all drive K-9's or Bull Dogs.
LA dealer wanted +$37,000 and then the news came out that the company was perhaps not going to survive. No warranty service killed the deal for me.
In frustration I purchased a Street Glide. Totally different riding experience. Kind of like a Big Dog on Quaaludes. Nothing like the bond between Dog owners. My buddies gave me some grief, but think they understand my reasoning.
You guys with Dogs are a special breed. You will survive, and take the issues in stride, but many will take the other path.
