Glad to see you getting back to work on that sled. I’m sure Knothead or Shannon will know that for sure. Be great to hear about you getting back on the road! Cheers! So I finally got this thing in the air after the trans went sideways like a year ago. Anyways I’m missing all four bolts. Anyone know the size of these things? View attachment 136248

I looked it up and it says 7/16x14x 3/4, so imma give it a shot and see what what… but yeah so bought a brand new Harley the other day and the wife hopped on the back and said nothing compares to dally! It’s time to get her back up and going and I surely do agree, I have owned about 20 bikes and rode about 100 and nothing is as comfortable as my dally. My buddy just had his k9 here and it has factory bars and all that and factory engine and mine is so much more comfortableGlad to see you getting back to work on that sled. I’m sure Knothead or Shannon will know that for sure. Be great to hear about you getting back on the road! Cheers!

I use RevTech 80/90 HP Transmission Lube. So many different thoughts on that particular subject. My Ironhorse when I bought it had Red Line gear oil in the transmission. Not a big fan. All 4 have the RevTech now.And what kinda fluid these trannys take?!? Ya know I have been through this engine twice and never touched the tranny because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it motto! ![]()

Yeah Curtis told me something bout the redline something or another just couldn’t remember what it was, but I had an iron horse with a 300 but it was a hard tail and they don’t joke when they said hard tail so she didn’t last longI use RevTech 80/90 HP Transmission Lube. Those 2 inner bolts were out completely? The should have had locking tabs on them I believe. I can see a locking tab on the bolt by the flywheel…So riddle me this, both bolts came out that connect the inner primary to the engine and both bolts on the outside loose. I can wiggle the whole trans and primary back and forth. Don’t get it… but it’s something I have never even put a wrench on since I had it, guess last time I had the primary off I shoulda checked them! View attachment 136253View attachment 136254
So lost on this response brotherAce (hardware)is the place. Big selection of American and metric. Just buy a selection and ask if you can return what was a test. Take a pocket knife and shave down a chopstick so as to fit loose in the threaded hole; to get your depth figured out.
Yeah the tabs were sitting at the bottom of the primary cover but one bolt was completely missingThose 2 inner bolts were out completely? The should have had locking tabs on them I believe. I can see a locking tab on the bolt by the flywheel…
He telling ya to shove a stick in the hole to measure depth. Ace does indeed have a lot of decent bolts and may have the ones you need. Sometimes Sven needs translated. HahahaSo lost on this response brother
