After the tire debacle last week, we took another weekender with the beautiful weather. Had a nice 120 mile ride to College Station with a buddy to visit our daughters.
About half way home the shifter linkage that several folks pointed out at Mastiff Dave's as too angled snapped right in half. It was not the heim joints, but the shaft itself. So, it needed replacing..........but the joints were not the first casualty. Thankfully a buddy and me got it working and we made it back home. First roadside repair victory, but my mud flap girl is gone forever
Eric - I ordered the shaft and what appears to be the longest of 2 spacers that came up in the search. It says it's 1 1/4", but measuring my setup, it would need 3" to make it perfectly lined up with the front control.
