Anyone having any issue with Wolf neck bearings going bad. When I turn side to side there is a catch (moderate resistance) from midline to side. I'm thinking bearings have gone bad or atleast one or more have developed a flat spot. Outside of taking to dealer (4 hours away) does anyone know a reputable bike mechanic around sw wisconsin or northern iowa and illinois who can fix?
Without going out and buying a quality lift I could probably fix myself but at this point it is more than I can do myself. Big dog has the appropriate bearing in stock. I figured since front end will be off I might just as well as service forks and fluids. On the other end both tires need replacement as I have a squeak in the rear right side of bike. Thinking may be rattle pin or warped rotor. New brake pads last fall front and back. Thought this would solve problem but has only made sound in rear worse??? Any suggestions? Thanks Scott
