Why do my batt terminal get realy hot when i try to start it

Check the connections are tight. Check the battery with a volt meter before cranking & while cranking. Sounds like a VR problem perhaps
Dirty and or loose connections is the most common reason. Most of us keep a 10 mm wrench with us and check the terminals before we ride. There is 50 g's of vibration at the battery box when accelerating. Things get loose.
That being said, that is another reason we run the Deka battery, instead of a cheaper brand. That battery is designed to handle the vibration. You start shaking the inside of your battery apart, you will have all sorts of electrical problems.

Oh, and what Mick said, put a voltmeter on it and make sure the VR isn't over charging.
Make sure your connections are clean otherwise it’s like being a resister and gets super hot from the amount of current passing through. Clean and tight is important. Does the bike start strong? A lower battery voltage will pass a higher current to start the bike too.

Have ur battery load tested. New batteries can be bad. Jmo.
Did you check the voltage before & during cranking? Is the bike starting & running?
You probably need to update your charging system. Sounds like your VR is going bad
What battery do you have? If you grabbed a battery with less than 310 cca it will not start your bike and cables/terminals will overheat.

Look for fault lights on your EHC when you turn the key on for clues of a possible short.
May have a shorted cell in the battery. Have it tested.
