Dave.... That was a "Snip It" of the post you responded to, not mine.... I do not have a windshield, I was just pointing out the post is 6 1/2 years old....electronically challenged. trying to figure out how to pm you
Isn't that what sunglasses are for?
got a picI have a smaller detachable windshield from Memphis Shades. It makes a difference on the highway, especially on a cold day. I live in Seattle and don't have the luxury of only riding on nice days. But it's great to be able to pop it off in a half second when the weather is nice or I'm just puttin around.
Mine did also, a matter a fact you were the one that pointed it out to me at the River Grill, thanks BuddyHad one on my K9 when doing road trips until the aluminum plate cracked, it ain’t the batwing but did make long rides somewhat easier. Doesn’t help much if bike is on trailer though. Some may say Choppers are not touring bikes but for bar hopping, for me they work for both tasks. Would I use bike only for barhopping I would have 2 Ridgebacks, not Choppa and K9...
yes i would love to try and make one.Yes! After many miles and a bad back, I need it to break the wind. Got my Pitbull 4 weeks ago and just designed a bracket and finished making the shield today. My first attempt at the shield and plan on re-doing it. I'm going to leave out the creases on the edges and just round out the whole thing. Also round out the top better. The bracket was fairly simple to make. Attached some pics. Interested in doing your own let me know and I'll feed you some tips. Bob
Two bolts, windshield on.
Two bolts, windshield off.
Kinda like the sissy bar, two bolts.
Right now, windshield off. Sissy bar on (I had to go get a soda pop).
I really like the Dog better with everything off, looks more like a hot rod to me.
