Who comments on your bike the most?

Yeh, HD dealers are funny like that. If you drive up on a metric they are happy to see you because they figure that you are looking to upgrade. But they see the Big Dogs and they treat you like shit, like youre an idiot for not getting a HD. But deep down they know they are not getting the upgrade customer. In fact they know when people are looking at my bike and talking to me that they may be losing a customer in the parking lot. Thats never been my intention but because of the crap attitude of our local HD dealers I dont even go there anymore. Their loss, I was looking at the Fat Bobs.

I rented one of those when I was down in Phoenix last year. Not a bad ride, actually - really well balanced handling. No Big Dog, of course, but not a bad little Harley.

I have all sorts of folks asking me about my bike. The chicks really like it. I get a ton of guys checking it out also. I like to park it somewhere in front of a bar where I can sit outside and see the scoot. Then I sip on a beer and watch everyone walk by and stare at it. I get a lot of comments from people in cars beside me at lights too. Sometimes I get too much attention to be honest.

I too love doing that.

"Biker Bobs here in SE Mich" Paper tag and all..... We both stop at the first Traffic light and he looks over and says... "That's a Big Dog isn't it"

Yeah i ride by there like everyday. Always see customers or mechanics riding around there and they are always eye ballin the chop.

Saturday morining I pulled into a HD dealer to meet some guys. There was a lot of activity as they were opening and bikes were all over the place. EVERYONE looked at the big yellow dog. Several came up and talked to me, asked about it, etc. The HD employees looked a little pissed, like they wished I wasn't there. Ha!

The second happened at the Reno Hilton(now the Grand Sierra Resort) during Hot August Nights. I was in the men's room washing up, and a guy noticed my shirt and asked "Oh, a biker shirt? What's it cost to be cool, $30?" Normally, like jimizee I don't talk about what my bike cost, but I made an exception with this guy. I said "Actually the shirt was about $30K, but it came with a free motorcycle." The look on his face was priceless.

If they ask how much it cost, I just tell them "more than your mobil home cost."

great stories everyone, i have had mine for one week and have rode it 4 times. each time i feel like a rock star, its unreal!! tonight i went to the local hooters, parked right in front of door naturally. got at seat at the bar where i could watch, and everybody looked her over. some guys walked around 2-3 times and looked at every detail(like i did before i bought mine). when i left several guys came outside(running almost) to hear me fire her up. i was freakin out i would do something stupid ya know, but it was cool, i definitely made the right choice getting a BD.

Can't pick one category... EVERYONE!! Just rode to sunset at Siesta Beach - Sarasota. FL. tonight. Some tourists with their 8yr old son start taking pics of the kid IFO the bike with the sunset in the background. I wasn't happy about that - so I said to the tourists..."you gotta put him ON the bike"! 8 yrs old - sittin on the BDM - IN CONTROL - for a fleeting moment....COOL!....ONLY with a Big Dog. This shit happens ALL the time!

every time I take the dog out it ends up being a photo shoot.. Makes me feel good. The kids love it and always want to sit on it, NO PROBLEM jump up there kid. The parents look at me like wow I can't believe you let him sit on it. I figure finger prints are easy to wipe off, memories are for ever. Puts a big ass smile on there faces

All seem to like the bikes, but not as many girls as someone might think. The 8yr old boys think its cool looking and seem to stare at the bike a lot. Teen boys think the bikes cool. Middle aged non bikers like to stand in front and get their pictures taken by their girlfriends like they own it and older (>55 yr) men always want to chat, biker or not, they just seem to be interested. The young cop that gave me a ticket said he only saw "frame and engine" when I passed him at 80mph....Guess he liked it enough to lower the ticket to just $100 instead of taking the bike LOL.

I get comments from all types of people. The funniest was a couple of weeks ago when i was leaving the bar. My bike was parked on the street with other choppers and harleys, I was the last one to leave so parked all around me were black guys with crotch rockets. You know extended swing arm all sorts of chrome and shit. I hear one of them say "Dis nigga think he a Hell's Angel or some sheeit". I just laughed and his buddy goes " But i bet his choppa cost as much as all our bikes togetha". Then he came over and told me "nice bike". But like most of you my favorite comments come from the all of smokin little ass that wants to sit on it and have their pic taken while their boyfriend just watches. HAHAHA
Chopper Dave and Walker i'm with you on the tattoo bullshit too. I actually had a chick in the Sheetz Gas Station tell me that i was going to hell for beng tatted. She said God doesnt like it when you put grafitti on your body. I told i agree with ther 100%... I AM going to hell, with a fuckin gas tank strapped to my ass. He reyes got all big. Then I politely told her that she could go fuck herself. But the best thing was the manager of Sheetz asked her to take her business elsewhere.
