Which do I want ESC or RIP?

Both use the TH MHC so I would say it's 6 of one, half dozen the other.

Having Curtis and the KMW guys for support is a real advantage in my mind however.

If you can get them to answer the phone, DOC is always there and willing to help!
Jeff is always available and is very knowledgeable about his system and everything else on our bikes! :old2:I am really happy I went with the ESC, but that's not to say that if I used the RIP system that I wouldn't be happy, I am sure it works well also, but there are some better options on the ESC, like the complete new headlight harness and the electrical system monitor, and also if you have air ride you can add that also! All the functions work as if it was from the factory! Can't beat that!:old2:

Hey Ron, did ya finish the install of your ESC yet? If so, how is it working for ya? Oh, and what about the 40 amp breaker, was it hard to mount? Just wondering how everything turned out for ya.

I did finish the install, everything went great but... When my ehc burned up it took out other electrical parts (ie: crank sensor, front control brake sensor) so I'm in the process of finishing that up today! Jeff was very helpful in tracking down and the repair/replacement of these damaged parts. I will also be installing the circuit breaker today, I will keep you updated.

I think I am going with the ESC. Jeff always answers the phone when I call, seems very knowledgeable about BD's and is willing to help with any problem you have. I'm sure the RIP is just as good and easy to install but after reading many threads, PM's with other ESC owners and many phone calls I think I will be comfortable with the ESC install.

Decided to scrap the wire plus system and I am going with docs esc. My ocd got the best of me and I hated the shit show of wires all over the place.

On the fence irt adding the charging system monitor. I have never had an issue with either bike and haven’t used a monitoring system.

Question is the 80 worth it? I think I know the answer...

I got my ECS with the voltage monitoring, if the light comes on you will know there's a problem but won't know if its oil or voltage, I also put a voltage gage on the bike afterward and I also have the oil gage to tell me if its oil or the voltage. If you don't have the voltage gage, but you do have a oil gage, when the light comes on you can look at the oil gage and if you have pressure you know its voltage.
I would probably get it but I would also put an oil gage on the bike to be able to tell the difference if you don't have a voltage gage.
So to sum this rambling up, if I would have known I was going to put the 2 gages on, I prolly wouldn't have gotten the voltage sensing feature.
