Normally they are a 1 time use, they have a small amount of silicon adhesive to attach it. I have never been able to reuse, you could get some gasket material and easily make one![]()

I don't want to pull it off if I can't. Normally I would wait till I had the new gaskets but wasn't expecting to be be off work.
I'll order and wait for the parts, this is my first big dog so I want to do it ritehttp://www.wildsteedworx.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1126
You should get it in a few days, worth the wait brother.
Patience my friend! Even copper and brass gaskets on Deutz motors I do not reuse! Your asking for a break down or bad leak! If your bored just detail your bike, rain will come again!

You wankers don't reuse your primary gasket? I had mine off an on probably 10x before it wore out. The 05+ you can reuse no problems it's a recessed gasket it's designed to be reused. The paper gasket on the inspection cover I've reused with just a dab of silicone.Make one? This ain't no 1996 ford truck were talk'n bout wanker! What kind advise is dat?![]()
Maybe in an emergency that's an option, he should just wait and do it right, no problemo's laters, right?

I have an 05 ridgeback, I'll still order a new set but I was just wondering if anyone ever tried to reuse the gaskets, thank you for your input on thisYou wankers don't reuse your primary gasket? Now an 04 is a different ball of wax would be replaced that's not a recessed gasket.

Having one on hand is good especially since you don't know the shape it's in but on 05 you can reuse it absolutely. It will wear eventually.I have an 05 ridgeback, I'll still order a new set but I was just wondering if anyone ever tried to reuse the gaskets, thank you for your input on this
Searching now so I can take care of that, thank you and everyone who helped with thisSince this bike is new to you and not sure what's been done...While you are in there I very highly recommend taking the clutch hub nut off and cleaning it up and red loctite with 150-160lbs. This is known to be under torqued and will cause all kinds of problems.
The clutch hub nut is left hand thread.
Search the forum there's how tos and service manuals available.

I also reuse my primary cover gasket but I thought he was referring to the inspection gasket only. He didn't say he was taking the primary cover off, you guys read too much into this. However if you do remove the primary cover and replace the gasket your gonna have some fun getting that new o-ring to stay in place.Work cancelled today due to rain so I want to change primary fluid and look at chain but I don't have new gaskets yet, can you reuse the old one?
