Where should I start?

Energy One
Added a 2003 chopper to the collection yesterday. Starts without issue. Rear running lights, Speedo and horn are the only electronics working. I have no brake lights, front running lights, turn signals or headlight. I’m looking for loose connection or maybe a short. Thought I would post and see if anyone else might have some thoughts on this?

Congrats on the "new" pup. I'd start @ the bucket n work my way back to the tag light. Shorts can be a pia to track down. Loose connectors and loose ehc pins can be a bitch too. Look long enough n you will find the culprit.

Do some checking but I'm pretty sure 03 does not have front running lights .

Pretty sure this has been brought up here .
My memory says MrWright confirmed this .

I know my 03 chopper has front turns only .

Taillights.. not uncommon, harness that runs inside rear fender gets damaged by tire. My 04 had this . After running new wires from below seat and covering that with shrink wrap. (which I left loose.. didn't heat) I hot glued tight to the inner rear fender .

Appreciate the heads up on the front running lights or lack there of. License plate issue is a bulb. Making progress lol.

My 03 doesn't have front running lights and I changed my tail/brake light to a cats eye wasn't thrilled with the stock light. I wanted something bigger for the side mount light

Mine doesn’t have running lights, I just assumed.
Not sure I have found my issue yet, but definitely finding some things that need attention. Under the seat everything looks pretty good but I haven’t tested anything yet. The license plate bulb needs to be replaced, waiting for the new one to arrive. The taillights seem to have lost the rubber boots, those wires have been spliced into for some reason. I cleaned that all up with shrink tubes and installed the rubber boots. Decided to look under the rear fender and tighten the nut to the taillight assembly, noticed that the taillight wires have all the insulation worn off. Will be replacing both sides soon. Have to place an order. One of plugs under the seat that attach to the EHC has an exposed ground wire, I extended that and ran it to ground.
