Once again this maybe a newbie question but not sure. I have the stock (I'm guessing)15x5.5 (I'm guessing) on the rear of my 02 Mastiff. Measure across from one end of the hub to the other is 9". New wheel 18x8.5 is about 9 3/4 so with my belt already maxed out on the trans pulley to the final drive pulley 1 1/2" wide,how the hell would I make this work? Do I need a thinner belt and drive pulley? Of course I got the whole these will work perfect on your BD with no problems.

That's a big project. An 8.5" wheel is for a 250 tire. You'll have to widen your frame and move your drive (maybe the engine) over to clear the tire.
If you really want a bigger back tire, you'd be money ahead just buying a 250 or 300 bike.

I got a 240 on it. The stock tire is a 230 and I have 5mm of clearance on each side easy

It's just do I need shorter hubs? Is the drive pulley the actual oem size.of course I can find any production info on this bike whatsoever

How wide is your frame?

12 1/2 where swing arm mounts the axle, shortest distance of where the tire extends near the swing arm is 12 1/4. Tire and wheel width is no problem. It's the hubs on the new wheel is gonna push the drove pulley out another 3/8" and the pulley won't be straight with the trans pulley. Pic is where belt lines up now

Is 1 1/2" width pulley what these bikes came with originally

I'm thinking Mr. Wright is the guy to talk to on this one. He might even be able to machine your hubs to fit if that's what's needed.

And he's not very far away.

Might want to see if they got some smaller rims. Otherwise might need to go to a chain drive to save space

The actual wheel and tire fit, it's the length of the hubs that are to wide to space my pulley and rotor correctly

Think I have it figured out. Gonna switch to a 1 1/8" pulley and belt which will give me the room to stay lined with my trans pulley for the wider hub.
