It'd be nice if we could change our answers, lol. I forgot to mention the Cruise Mate!

is the cruisemate your best upgrade?

no offense to you personally but.....

if guys just voted for every chrome piece they put on their bike how would this thread have any value of which upgrade is mutually the best?

just saying

The BDL open primary was the best mod in my opinion. Except for the Jack Shaft issue. Still working on getting all the parts together for the sissy bar up grade.

Does it count if you have paid for it, they are still doing it, and you may never see your bike again before your 80th birthday?

Okay, BEST upgrade was the MLB custom twisted pipes, 2nd was the spike grips xoprodox spiked grips, spiked pegs, next on the list is spiked fork caps and spiked air filter, Custom seat, maybe some led lighting, custom paint job.

Forgot to mention replaced the ripped solo seat that was there before I bought the damn money pit the new throttle cables that were pitted and rusted the tinted brake light covers and who knows how many other little upgrades here and there, and oh yeah chrome whore with all the damn time spent getting it to shine

got a lot of mods but the best has got to be dumping the TH ignition and installing a dyna2KI.

bike spins over like a top even in frigid weather.

plus i still have the original ehc and none of the "dielectric grease and wrap every connector" crap!

ride in shit weather and wash with simple green and a power washer.

granted my (recalled) VR went and battery lived its life but none of that zombie electrical crap that you hear about. :loony:
i did a search and didnt see anything on the dyna iginition. i put the dyna3k on my roadstar to map it out when i added hc pistions...is this one similar? is it plug and play? im looking for ANYTHING that makes starting easier.

its either a cam sensor or a crank sensor. easy way to tell is there will be a plug next to the VR plug in the front of the motor. if there is just a cover next to the VR plug then its a cam sensor.

yea i raised the rev limiter only because the parts i installed could accept it IMO

also adjusted timing to work with my raised compression

If you have the SSW motor is should be a cam sensor
If you have the SSW+ motor then it will be the crank sensor

I think it woul be easier to list the things I haven't added to the bike.
Custom Seat, V&H pipes, diamond cut spike air filter, diamond cut K&P oil filter, diamond cut oil cooler and stash tube, xoprodox mirrors, pegs, passenger pegs, and grips, low boy sissy bar and 18" sissy bar, tribal spikes every where they will fit, 2.5" forward control extensions, tool roll and kit, cruisemate, clear light lens covers, vanity plate, oh and of course removed the dreaded frame stickers and reflectors.
