What is the longest trip you have ever rode your dog on?

I was just thinking about it , and I thought I bet some of you folks have ridden some really long trips. I only did about 600 plus miles in one day once when we rode the dragon.

There are quite a few on here that do a week or two on the road. The group of Dogs I ride with, when we do a lunch ride, we will have to do supper, somewhere on the way back. I believe the longest I've done was 2550 miles.

Sturgis to Northern CA. On my 07 K-9 it was ripped off in Sept. though. Just bought SMCT's 06 K-9, but raining mostly till today. And not sure if I'm going to chance the ticket for not sheltering in place today. If I venture out will probably be a 400 or 500 mile day. A much needed fix lol.

Done several 500 mile days and until a few years ago the dog was the only bike I had for trips. To be honest I ride the mule on all long rides now days. But the wife goes more now. Every year we do a 3 or 4 thousand mile trip somewhere.

I think my high mileage day was around 700miles, had to detour out of traffic coming home from Myrtle beach to NJ one year and ended up being a bit longer.
These days I aim for 300 or so, coming home from the BB&BBQ last year I did a 400+ day but I don't really like to do that to often anymore.

If I rode that far 5 times that would be all the miles on mine at the present. Possibly too many 15 -20 mile trip around here out away from the traffic. Wife says I look like a "Thug" anyway. About the only rides I go on now is with the Patriot Guard when I am not working. I do not in the rain intentionally either.

I have always wanted to ride from here in Tennessee, Nashville area , down to Mobile and ride the coast all the way around Florida actually when it is not screeming hot. Miami and the keys would be nice about this time of year . I think , I have never been there , but it looks nice.

Maybe 250 miles, I'm a dedicated bar hopper.
I have a good friend that lives at a few bars around here, even has the keys to one of them. Due to our current situation all he can do is ride by the bars. I think he has stock in Miller Lite. You'll think this is funny but, I quit drinking and smoking 2nd week or January 1977 cold turkey after almost,I should have died of alcohol posioning, but by the Grace of God I didn't. I drank a beer the other day, free of course, at my daughter's house. I am thinking what he hell do people see in the taste of this, but it could have been "Donkey" piss, my daughter has two of them. I did not almost die drinking beer either. Thankful I was able to walk away from it.

Thanks everyone for this info. I am not the only one that don't ride all over the world. The old Dog does enhance the Thug look as well!
You'all be safe out there , especially you old farts , :)

At the meet-up in Flint Oak Kansas, I, and my brother, managed to put in 387 miles with a fella we hooked up with. A really nice guy by the name of Rick Cox from Wichita. That was our "in search of America " ride. (Or we might have been just a little bit lost ) I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat though !!

Thats a serious day ride on a K9, congrats on that ride very impressive. Grew up in NJ but have lived in Charlotte/Mooresville NC since 1984. I see you live in Murrells inlet Myrtle beach now, was at bike week last year May 7 thru the 11th, and only came upon 2 bigdogs a bagger, and another 2007 bulldog like mine. Not sure if its better to go later in the week but work schedule worked out for our dates. Its cancelled this year but if I can get the bike running which I will, I will look you up for the fall rally late Sept. I believe you have tried to help with some of my problems so a beer or two is atleast I can do. Thanks again.

About 500 miles each way. Rode up to Dragons Tail, rode the Tail into TN.
Now I normally get 150-250ish miles each weekend with my friends.

Well as of now they are planning on doing Bike week in MB in July is the latest current info.

My first yr with a bike (bought in feb03) I drove on a different chopper straight thru to MB with some friends -- about 650 that year.
Coming home, 1 bike had trouble staying running, I had no rear brake. I lost the crew getting on 95.
Realized it was going to get cold so I called the truck that was following us. Somehow because of the bike troubles I had passed them. Got my chaps. Never saw the truck again as they raced to catch the problem bike.
Eventually reaching NJ, I'm coming down the turnpike at 2AM or so and I see this ONE headlight coming at me like a bat out of hell.
It's the other guy that was riding with us. He left the trouble bike/rider back in MD and was trying to get home (he was further north than the rest of us)
The truck ultimately had to leave the rider cause they HAD to get their daughter. Told him they'd come back if he called and needed.
Turned out as soon as the guy backed off and stopped trying to stay with the guy that caught me, the bike settled down adn rode fine. Turned out if I recall it was bad wire that bounced and shorted at high speed - 60 it was OK, 70 problem but not instantly.
That was the year I learned how cold it gets coming North in early Oct.
Next year we rode all the way back since no one wanted to be that guy that said let's stop -- I had popped the back so I was in the truck and the bike was on trailer so it wasn't going to be me.
Afterwards, when we talked we all swore never again to do a one day with a group like that -- I've done it solo since but AI make WAY better time then when theres 5 or 6 guys and 3 or 4 women. End up trying to herd cats with a group.
