Now for another question. lol See what happens when you spend too much time a the gym. I guess this one is for TexasRaider....How does the passenger pillion work with the drop seat since I may end up going that route in the future? Does it still attach to the bracket?
Seeing as my wife won't get on a motorcycle, I really don't know, but in looking at that pillion on BDM's website, the one that goes with the spring seat, it appears as if the pillion is designed to sort of fit over the top of the spring seat, so that the springs work fully and compress down and back up, staying beneath the pillion. (here is the pic)

Don't know as to why there would be metal brackets attached to the spring seat, as when it compresses, it seems like they would hit the rear fender?
Again, I'm no expert, but I would think that just a suction cup pillion pad would work in either the spring or drop application, and that is all that I would think ANYONE would recommend?!?!?!
As for the original post, I would be highly PISSED if this happened to me, and hold the dealer FULLY responsible, as any respectable dealer should shoulder the blame, and probably fire the installer! Lena (Fairless) I can only imagine how your Dad would respond if something like this happened at Strokers, but I do know he would make it right if it did.
Good luck man!
