V&H Mounting bracket

The ugliest part on my bike is the V&H mounting bracket. Does anyone make a better looking/fitting bracket than that bulky and amish looking bracket for the big radius exhaust system?

I would suggest having it chromed.
Not a bad suggestion and it has crossed my mind, but it is too bulky and I thought maybe somebody had made a more elegant part for this very common mounting. I will blow some dust off of the old welder and fire up the old grinder and see what I can come up with.... Maybe fabricate a nitrox bottle holder there..... :whoop:

Whatever you come up with Make 2. I'll buy the other one.:whoop:

X2 blends right in
BWG.... I'm more like your signature kinda guy..... And maybe I should start a small production..... Those Nitrox bottles in chrome looks better than that bracket and could serve as a weapon holder, cash holder, spare gas can, lingerie collector, moonshine holder, duct tape and WD-40 holder, nitrox.... you name it.....

You probably could sell quite a few if you can fabricate something better than the V&H's bracket. The bracket tends to crack at the weld, it has happened to several members. I keep a spare for just that reason.

That's a whole lot better right there..... Now, what if we take that plate with the Maltese cross, add one more plate next to it, then instead of the cross make a whole big enough for a bottle? Those two plates can also be made of aluminum and polished. Another use for the bottle could be locks (I'm going to Bikeweek and thought of that one...)...

Made a new one a few years ago out of aluminum... I was able to bring the pipes in and up just a bit so they wouldn't drag as often on the hard right turns.. :D

Very nice work. Adding in a closer to the frame mount is brilliant too. My lower pipe looks like crap due to scraping.

I first made it out of 1/2" plywood.. well maybe maybe 3 different try's :D
When i found one that worked transferred the measurements to the 1/2 " aluminum
