FWIW, I used a 585 cam only because the customer wasn't getting into the 0" quench deal. :eek: If they did, I would have gone with the .600" cam, and optimized the compression accordingly.

What do you mean by this?

Its about getting the jugs, etc at S&S specs.... BDM cheated to pass EPA regulations in same states and end up with less compression than a "true" 117 S&S.

I am sure someone will explain it better than me. It has been discussed many many times here... just do a search on threads about cams.
