Ranger the F*ck up!
It's been a little bit since I have posted on here. Been a little busy, got married, had a kid, new duty location...blah, blah... Got some work done on the bike. The first pic is the before...the next three are close ups of the tank and fenders. I had smoke flames added to cover up some scratches and chips from the years of riding. The last shows the powder coated american suspension front end, and the powder coated/diamond heads. Sending the starter out to WSW tomorrow. Not pictured is the XXX rebuilt carb.

You have a nightmare in the works reference valvetrain. :bang: Look at where the rockerarm is contacting the valve stem. It SHOULD be CENTERED.
Pay now, or pay much more later.

John,
what do you do to correct this issue? I will be having my heads and jugs worked on my 05 and would like to know.

Thanks

Put S&S rocker boxes, and rocker arms on it, at the same time you get the heads done. I'm sure you already have some valve guide damage currently. Just don't let it get out of hand by putting a lot more miles on it.
I'll post some pictures of a 117"/TP equipped motor I have in the works for a local shop, after they said it will be ok with the TP parts on it. They damaged it twice, and finally listened to me. It's costing them for not doing it right the first 2 times.

Sounds great thanks! I already have all the S&S components on the shelf waiting for the time to come... :D

FWIW, I used a 585 cam only because the customer wasn't getting into the 0" quench deal. If they did, I would have gone with the .600" cam, and optimized the compression accordingly.

I had this dude in Margate do the work. He turned out to be a f#cking ass clown. I have over 33K on the bike. Now you got me worried. I will have to find time to look at it.
