So the compression release are new and they work but the bike will only start if you push them manually. Have you tried to push just one then try and start and then the other. Maybe one of them is sticking.

I don't think that post before you was mean for you and with that said I think your battery, even though you say its new, is bad. Have the new battery load tested to see if its any good. It should not drop to 4v
:agree: with Ker, the battery should not drop to 4VDC. Have the battery load tested. A "new" battery doesn't always mean it's a good battery.

My bike had same noise. Then it broke rocker arm on exhaust side. Seems it had cracked.

The funny thing is when I picked bike up from shop they used button and started it about 4 times because they did not turn gas on. On the attempted is did the click, click noise then turned over so I thought battery was just low and drove bike home. When I got it home and tried to restart just hard click click so I put it on tender over next couple days. When I returned and tried to start same thing click, click so I pushed on top of compression release on rear cylinder and it started right up. So took back to bike shop since I just spent $10k and left it with them. They are the ones that told me about amp drop and know say it could be starter button on handle bars. I do not think that is correct and am planning on just picking bike up and tracing issue myself. So with all of that said I will have battery tested and check all connections
