That is great advice....mr Wright .. I still have an 01 Dyna FXDX I’ve ridden for 20 years... it’s really hard to remember to compensate for the shallow turnsSounds like you have the RT frame. It sits a little lower than the DT frame. Easy fix. Go to www.wildsteedworx and get the heavy 422 shocks. I even went as far as to remove the eyelets and cut an 1/8 inch off the threaded rod, so I could raise my bike an extra 1/2 inch. The shorter the shock the higher the back of the bike is.
Here in Missouri we ride these bikes like crotch rockets. We pull them hard and low in the curves, dragging our pegs and heels. So we need a little more clearance than guys who mostly ride straight roads. That is great advice....mr Wright .. My pegs and pipes are chamfered after years of ridings and I'm still removing more metal! Here in Missouri we ride these bikes like crotch rockets. We pull them hard and low in the curves, dragging our pegs and heels. So we need a little more clearance than guys who mostly ride straight roads.
