I assume that means youre riding as a solo rider [without a pillion]
If solo is the case then I guess the next question is - Are you a very large chap?? how many pounds??
Sounds like you may need to take out the old shocks and renew with new ones that are adjustable - I am sure people on this site will give you some recommendations.
I fitted progressive 422s on my 05 Bulldog to stiffen it up. These dont fit all Big Dog models so there may be other people who can add to this thread

You could look under the bike at the shocks and see if they are already adjustable? Maybe they have been replaced already. Post a picture of your ride.

What's hitting?
Since you say its in turns, what are you scraping and how aggressive are you turning. These are low bikes, the same track thru a turn that a Harley can do without hitting will scrape a lower bike like our choppers.
Bottoming out usually refers to the shocks going to full extention.
Shock may well need to be replaced.
Measure the strut height at a spot with the bike upright, then sit on the bike and measure same spot (helps to have a helper) and see how much you drop just with you. report back.
I'm 300+ and I don't hit on every turn -- do hit on a few but so be it.

Sounds like you have the RT frame. It sits a little lower than the DT frame. Easy fix. Go to www.wildsteedworx and get the heavy 422 shocks. I even went as far as to remove the eyelets and cut an 1/8 inch off the threaded rod, so I could raise my bike an extra 1/2 inch. The shorter the shock the higher the back of the bike is.

That is great advice....mr Wright .. I still have an 01 Dyna FXDX I’ve ridden for 20 years... it’s really hard to remember to compensate for the shallow turns

Here in Missouri we ride these bikes like crotch rockets. We pull them hard and low in the curves, dragging our pegs and heels. So we need a little more clearance than guys who mostly ride straight roads.

My pegs and pipes are chamfered after years of ridings and I'm still removing more metal!
Left a bunch on the last trip on Tail of the Dragon.
Left some going and coming home from the Farm this year.
If you aren't scraping -- you aren't riding!

Yes.
My 03 was a DT, and my 04 is a RT. Prefer the DT frame. When I got my 03, the shocks were so bad, the tire was rubbing the fender.
