I don't own one but I don't think it locks the throttle in position. It applies resistance so the throttle doesn't close by itself. You can still manually roll on and off the gas. Someone help this guy out and tell him if I am correct.For the guys who own this product already.....
My buddy was wondering how easy it was to unlock the throttle. Do you twist the throttle to unlock it or do you have to "unlock" it with your fingers?
He was thinking that in a quick response situation that he would prefer to not have it in the "locked" for safety reasons.
It doesn't lock persay! It's similar to the stock unit but has a teflon head on it that holds tension on the throttle. You set how much tension you need by the lever action of the devise. This is the coolest part of the Cruise-Mate. If it's not providing enough tension then you just rachet it back and it gives you more. You have to watch Toms vidoe to understand what I'm saying. I set it with my thumb and release with my index finger like pulling a trigger.For the guys who own this product already.....
