Is it Fuel injected? If not it should not have any thermal shut offs.

First I would change the plug. Then swap the plug wires around to see if its the wire.

Then check wire connection on back of the coil.

Then current to the coil from the igntion

Wires are stock, carbureted, and have been having battery/starting issues for the last month. I swapped the plugs, did nothing...

What V was suggesting is take the front spark plug wire off coil and plug then swap it with the rear. and while your at it check connections of the red, blue and yellow wires on the coil.

Mine did that on the front cylinder at 1000 miles. I was about 4 miles from home and was able to get home on just one cylinder. Strokers Dallas tech replaced the ignition coil on warranty.

Thanks. I'll look into that.

Start at the sparkplug and work backwards...apply standard troubleshooting techniques, searches on the forum for information and your experience from working on all your other bikes should help to solve the problem.

You say it runs on 1 cylinder with the engine cold. Does the other cylinder fire off once the motor warms up? If you've have fire going to both plugs, it could be that one of your pushrods collapsed and isn't allowing that cylinder to function.
