The OCC, What's ur opinion

I have personally viewed one of their bikes up close and personal. The fit and finish is far below that of a Big Dog.

But isn't that the case with most of these "custom" bikes you see on TV and in magazines?

What I've seen recently on TV is the "Biker Build-off". I think Gas monkey built a great bike.

Ive seen JJ build some great chops on TV. Most of my media come from the internet and most builds I see are on forums. So most customs I see are rideable
and generally road worthy (although not made for touring or comfort) if Im gonna pay someone 25-50k to build me a custom bike I'd expect a solid built and good looking bike, true any custom bike will have some engineering issues especially if its one of a kind.

These "theme" bikes OCC builds are just to sell a TV show and sell a bit of the chopper culture to mainstream society. That doesn't bother me, they just will never have the respect.

And yeah I bet the crane company paid a shit ton of money for them to make a "crane bike". But they could have had better taste with it lol. Either way its not my concern I was just trying to share what I knew and my opinion on whether I think OCC builds quality bikes...the answer is for half the money you could have a well built custom that will turn just as many heads.

You're probably completely right, I haven't seen Biker Build-off. Maybe I'll check it out, what network is it on? I just was going by what I see. The issues that I see that make me question them are usually the handle bars, seats, ridiculous rake. They just aren't practical.

Gas Monkey fucked up a period correct original paint slab side shovel in my opinion. They could have found anything else to chop up like everyone else does not a period bike. But hey thats my opinion!

It discovery channel cool..but they are done for the season i think. And hoat i can respect your opinion on that. I just thought their build was a more realistic one. I didnt like the paint choice for the frame but i did think it was a cool bike overall.

I saw the "Snake Bike" that OCC built at a show a couple years ago for the girl from Waco Tx, who won one of their fantasy bike contests. Nothing really stood out on it except the paint job was nice. Green snake design with purple border. The girl was there giving out autographs. She had the bike for a year and had only put 120 miles on it. Go figure! BD looks alot better than their production stuff IMO.

I live close to OCC and have been there a few times. The bikes arent that bad "really"
I've looked them over and the quality wasent there for me either. But they are useing S&S motors now. As for the "theme" bikes with the stuff weld'd or bolt'd on to them -I can do without.

IMHO if anyone had ever seen the antics potrayed on the Discover Channel shows of the Teutel family who posess any sembelance of acceptable demeanor should be able to see that money was and is the driving force behind their antics, not building a quality motorcycle for market. One can only hope that Jr. can rise above the marketing and greed driven motivations of others in his family.
