Great points by all especially Steve(SB03chopper), Big D, & Big Mike. Back in the 70's our (older) local Harley Guru, mechanic, racer, & mentor(also my brothers god father, but thght was mine) would say be humble & respectful because when you think you've conquered your bike or road, brace yourself because its fixin to walk all over you. Please be cautious & defensive, after over 50 yrs of riding I've lost several biker brothers(one that wasn't as lucky as Eric in east Texas on a new chopper thru an intersection) & I don't wanna lose anymore & especially our brotherhood's. P.S. In high school I would disagree with my dad bout dangerous & blame cars, but later realized we're hurt or dead no matter whose fault - 'every day I get older, dad gets smarter'.
