I recognize the bike cradle....must have used Keyboard for shipping. I was impressed with their handling. My Dog went to a buyer in AZ. Similar color bike as well. :2thumbs:

WELL FINALLY!! It has been entertaining as hell, Chris to watch you wait for your new bike. I think your story reminds alot of us of getting ours for the first time. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Well ,did they include a few rocks in the shipping container like I mentioned before.......

.....to throw at the Fury! :D

These bikes are in a class of their own for sure. Enjoy, be safe.

I'm sitting here in Germany waiting for the same experience you are so happy about.
My K9 is still in some container being shipped across the Atlantic ocean.
I'm very anxious about it's safe and proper arrrival. Can't find sleep during the nights... ;)

Cool to read that your bike did arrive safely. Wish you a lot fun with her and everthing safe!

Today was the whole first day I was really able to enjoy the bike without worrying about work and bad weather. I rode a little over 120 miles over the course of the day. About 5 miles into my ride, the bike did give me quite a scare as it started to jerk like it was out of fuel. The gas light on the instrument panel did not come on at all which is what worried me the most. I called my girlfriend and she came over with some gas. I then proceeded to the gas station and filled her up and rode the rest of the day without one issue. I'm thinking maybe the gas light is not working. The bike is carbeurated. Does this bike have a fuel reserve tank? I looked the bike over but could not find one. Other than that, several people commented about the bike and were asking what type of bike it was. It was a great feeling to have people be curious and ask, but the greatest feeling was riding the bike. My best friend who also rides got to see and ride the bike today. He was very impressed and wants to get one. Thanks everyone for the positive comments and feedback. This site is awesome and so are the members in it. I'm excited to be learning more about this bike and also at the same time get to talk with great people.

An 06 k-9 does not have a fuel light, nor a fuel gauge yet does have a reserve position on the fuel on/off switch. I fuel up right around every 100 miles

Lever on the fuel petcock all the way out is OFF.....all the way in is ON....with the lever in the middle is reserve. I can go about 18 miles on reserve. Like others have said at 100 miles I'm looking for gas. Whenever I'm through riding for the day I always turn my gas off.

As mentioned no fuel guage and at some point you'll forget to reset the odometer and run out it happens to us all...(some more than others :D)

My reserve is all the way forward. Your stutter probably just some bad fuel.

Congrats enjoy the ride and this forum. Ton of knowledgeable members willing to help any way they can.
