I thought you were joking....Low Fuel Light ??? Something BDM owners would have greatly benefited by thou. Coming off a HD I was in the habit of running out, switching over to reserve and having 20 miles to find a station. No big deal. First time on the Dog I was 8 miles to the nearest station. I pushed it the last 2 miles. F**king embarrassing. Want to know how many people passed me and yelled out the window "nice bike" :bang:

Without remembering what my last ride was, or remembering to set the tip gauge.....first order of business was fill-up each and every time I pull out of the garage, even if all I added was a gallon, and since the easy math is add 100 to what is on the speedo, don't go past that number w/o stopping again.

Being new to the Dog.....stay tuned into other helpful tips....like secure the ignition key to the spark plug wire or carry a spare, and pay attention to tire pressure to name a couple. Have fun. :cheers:

Damn pushed it by yourself?? Well ran out my first true time out with my buddies talk about embarrassing :bang::bang: they did help me push it up the hill in a shit load of traffic :roll:

I'm excited to be learning more about this bike and also at the same time get to talk with great people.

Reserve is on the petcock. Should be in your users manual. The EFI bikes are the only ones with a fuel light. I would reset your trip odometer at a fill up and usually around 135 miles u will need gas. :cheers:

Congratulations on your new K9, awesome! I bought my latest K9 off Ebay last month, and its just being crated up in Virginia, for shipping to the UK. Its a 2009 with less than 500 miles. Just gotta do a bit of re-wiring to get it registered. Can't wait to get it into my garage!!!
