It goes both ways though and I've had both. Put a 65 horsepower rubber mounted motor in your chopper and I'll bet it won't give you any more problems. Put a 100 plus horsepower motor in that dresser and let me know how much time you have to spend tweaking shit.
YOU KNOW HES RIGHT ..."the geezer ride feels like 40hp after getting off the dog .... But I could never hear the radio on the dog ? If you can swing it own them both . Thats the ticket. And we wait to see the new baby's Good luck Criss .. I would still let you ride with me ....behind me

Of coarse Al is right. But a rubber mounted twin cam is what I'll have so be it.

The 09 Touring bikes are the new stiffer frames and should be able to handle the bigger (103 vs 96) engines. My Dyna went from a 88 to a 95 with SE Heads and puts out 94 HP and 99 torque. Gas mileage isn't much beter than the Big Dog and tire life is shorter. But even worse is than I have almost as much money is in a Dyna as my Dog.

I wish I had more money.
Gas... You are kidding. Right? If not. Hey mods! Can I be an indian giver and take my REP Power recommendations back? j/k A buddy of mine just bought the Dyna Fat Bob. Flat black. It is alright. 96" twin. Goes alright too. Put the pipes and air cleaner assembly on it. Sounds good too. The stock ones sound like poo. May as well have been the vespa.

I gotta say I'm surprised by this Gas. I thought you were the beating heart of BDM when I first joined this forum. I even thought maybe you worked for BDM and was posing as a regular Joe.

Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the new bike. Maybe you can ride it down to Florida some time to meet the year round riders? :2thumbs:

Just alittle to much detail for me Shovel. Your memory really has that one engraved in your head for some reason. I am going to hit my back button and forget I ever read that post.
Freaked me out!! Maybe that's why that ugly vision just won't go away.
Sorry, but if you had been there you woulda remembered too. (I just wonder if anyone caught him in a dark alley and Whooped his Ass)!

Remembering that, I just couldn't help comment on Gas's "assless cowprint chaps" comment.

Curdog... no that person is Raywood... thanks anyway.

Knot... since it was new April 2006

Doug... nope... I'll do my best to stay with ya. Besides Al's new gearing should shave off some top end.

G-Man,
I'll never forget my first issue with my bike...I was headed down to a rally at the jersey shore, and I was at desperate ends with the issues of my bike...I didn't think much of it then, but when I got the bike back it was exactly as you said http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/general/4618-rock-star-customs-sick-dog-update.html:cheers:...as ....as far as i'm concerned your still g-man and it doesn't matter if your on a custom or a hd, your still the oracle of this website with your knowledge of bikes  ...

Gas, don't mean to beat a dead horse here but would you categorize most of the issues you had with your BD as electrical, mechanical or both?
