My side covers?? Wasn't nothing really "wrong" with em.. the right one is a little scratched.. but I now know how to take em off without scratching em. I was going to buy Kevin's, just been caught up in life ya know.While you had your bike tore down did you get time to fix your side covers?
Nicely done. Very interested in how this works out JJ, please update and keep us posted. I plan to get it done next time I have the valve covers off for any reason. Ticking isn’t that bad but it bothers me a bit. Thanks

Set screws on both sides....Installed set screws, didn't wanna take no chances on having to do this again.. so I did it on both sides. I'll let you all know this weekend what the outcome is.

Ok...got everything back together and took a good long ride to test it out. Finally had good enough weather! Got the engine good and hot and the rocker assembly mod worked great. No more ticking!Very clean! Did it work?
Go to this thread and fire your questions there:And I thought the ticking was TP specific so I was going to fix it by replacing w/ S&S Rocker Assemblies. But watching Mark's video and reading this thread, now I wonder if I shouldn't just stick with my TP rockers. Any opinions one way or the other or other reasons to switch to S&S from TP?
A few picsSo.. I did the whole set screw deal, d dnt fix the tapping, just suited it down a hair.. found out after trying to find this oil leak and fix it that my check valve on my rear breather tube was in backwards and has been since I had the head gasket job done before Kansas last year. I have that bike apart like 5 times since and just kept putting it back how it was. Anyways fired her up to ride her and see what happens, opened the garage and it was raining.. so that was a no go. The next day went to go throw a few hundred miles on her with a trip I had planned.. went to start her, got a little more then a turn and my starter went out.. lol.. my luck. Anyways the paint came out great! Got a lot of compliments on it already. Very settle
