Not at first cause we only finished at 2am and I was leaving at 7. Went to gas it up and it was peeing out the left side so had to drain it as much as we could then remove it and stick the argon hose in it again so we could grind out the weld and re-weld it. We finally stuck and air hose in it and sprayed soapy water over all the welds and it's working great now. Didn't get out of Palm Springs till 10 but made the 680 miles trip with only three stops for gas. It was a long hard ride I might add. Have a couple thousand miles on it now and it's holding tight. Now just to get it cleaned up and painted.hay did anyone ever pressure check that tank??? just wondering...

good it didnt catch on fire... I weld from time to time & pretty good .. but if I ever have to weld a fuel tank I think I would pressure check.. I may never have a leak,,, but if I didnt check it sure thing it would leak.. cool that you got it fixed.. I wont ever need a larger fuel tank...dam hardtail .. after 120 miles I need a break..if I ride more I get on 1 of the HDs..:lol:Not at first cause we only finished at 2am and I was leaving at 7.
