That ride I did Saturday, that I enjoyed so much. I was going to go about 50 miles further, but decided I had to much to do, so I cut it short and came home.
Last night, I was working out in my shop, and noticed my tail light had fallen off, and was just hanging by the wires. I went over to look at it, and noticed something all over my swing arm. The bolt had backed out, and rubbed a 1/4'' or so deep groove in the side wall of my tire, and a little bit of the rim.
Good thing my guardian angel convinced me to cut my ride short.
Looks like it's new tire time, and the damn thing still had a lot of life left on it.

We all need to be doing winter maintenance, checking bolts and cleaning in the crevices.
It just takes a moment and one little thing. As hard as I was pushing the curves Saturday, It wouldn't have just been a little road rash, if that tire failed.

Well..... I now can say, honestly, I´ve ridden more miles in the last three months than in the last four years.... since I am riding withe the VETERANS MC I am all over Spain... next week to Holland for a Reunion with the "Green & White"....
I´ve done 3K Miles in three months.... I think I am about to change some fluids......
