Due to clutch issues already posted here. I had to load up ol Zena and take her to full house in Winchester Va.
I don’t know guys do think this is overkill on the strap down job?

Maybe just a little overkill, but let that dog fall one time during transit and you'll never understrap again. I put a couple extra on mine too. I was hauling it one time and one of the straps came loose and the bike luckily leaned over on the kickstand. Since then, I use a couple of "insurance" straps just in case. Shit happens!

I would have attached a few to the roof and suspended it in mid air.
J/K you can Never be too safe when securing your ride. Heard too many stories of guys reaching their destination only to find their machine against the wall and damaged. Nice Job!:2thumbs:

Holy webs Spiderman, it won't swing in the air will it?
You proly want soft soxs between the straping and the paint because the nylon straping will leave marks on the clear and on the frame.

All you need to do now is close the rear trailer door, cut an access door in the roof and fill the trailer up with packing peanuts.

Christ! Actually, you should always have all your straps oriented so they are pulling the bike forward INTO the chock. If you lose one or both front straps, the rear straps will pull the bike outa the chock and it will fall over. I see guys run the rear straps so they are pulling back on the bike all the time, and it makes no sense.

Moespeed,
I actually did put some thought into this
The idea was that if I loose one or more straps in any position the bike still wouldn’t move.
A little bit of back pressure is always a good idea to keep the front pulling straps tight and for left, right movement
I had straps pulling front, back, left, right, and hell even up and down.
She was going no where.
Due to piss poor planning on my part I had to haul her around for 3 days before she finally made the 65 mile trip to the dealer.
Bottom line is she didn’t fall.

I use 8 straps per bike when I haul... but I've never straped it up that high to the ceiling..I only got a 7ft wide trailer.. so when I load 3 bikes up there isnt much room between them so I make sure that have plenty to secure them just in case.. I also use a wireless back up camera in my trailer to keep a eye on em...:D

Excellent Grimm, now attach it to GRAVE DIGGER and jump a school bus with that rig!!!!!

A front wheel tie and one reliable set straps, and a second pair for paranoia is what i do, all pulling forward. But that's just what I do, you do what you do and keep Scouting proud! Just playing without a good chock you can never be too safe one dog fall can cost a LOT!

Had a blowout on lowboy while towing the bike, Beltway 8, two lanes no shoulder. Had I not secured my bike (lots of straps) it could have gotten real ugly!

Wow:eek:..you could probably roll the whole rig down the side of any embankment (Heaven forbid), and the bike would be fine!
