Christ! Actually, you should always have all your straps oriented so they are pulling the bike forward INTO the chock. If you lose one or both front straps, the rear straps will pull the bike outa the chock and it will fall over. I see guys run the rear straps so they are pulling back on the bike all the time, and it makes no sense.

I actually did put some thought into this
The idea was that if I loose one or more straps in any position the bike still wouldn’t move.
A little bit of back pressure is always a good idea to keep the front pulling straps tight and for left, right movement
I had straps pulling front, back, left, right, and hell even up and down.
She was going no where.
Due to piss poor planning on my part I had to haul her around for 3 days before she finally made the 65 mile trip to the dealer.
Bottom line is she didn’t fall.
