Andrew I haven't talked to you but I'll tell you what I pay attention also when I'm on here. I am by no means a mechanic. If I needed help after seeing your knowledge on here you'd probably be one of the first people I'd ask. I'm sure you saw how many went off on me for a mis understanding I had about a month ago. Just let it go and roll on w/ life your liked on the forum , a lot of people appreciate your knowledge like myself and do respect what you know. If they don't and feel a need to bitch and moan cause they have no life then maybe they should take a long walk off a short pier. Just my thoughts.

I just want to take the time to explain a few things here, only because some things have gotten out of control.
You let yourself get out of control. All I did was quote your cable lube, added to it as a compliment for bringing up a dry lube. I added a wet lube, but you took it wrong is what I assume?

Some of you know about the issues at hand and can relate. I have a feeling this thread might get closed down, but want to get this off my chest...
And a compliment needs to be taken off your chest? Call out the post police? LOL... It's too funny. HELP! My kingdom for a cable!

I joined this site in order to help others with Technical related issues. I think for the most part I have.
So what is the beef?

I may not be good at spelling or grammar.
I bet I'm worse at it than you. However, the poetic just us is if you are going to butcher the english language than WATTS the difference I take issue about reading others and their spelling. It still reads the same, no?

But I am good at the things I love and have a passion for. Some of which are welding, Metal fabrication, Landscape photography and ultimately working on motorcycles.
It's like you are unzipping the trousers and saying, "lookey watt die [4 is I] got that she wing her that fits in your slot they run from it and yell, you ain't putting that flesh in me!?"

I put that passion and pride into everything I do.
Who can knock that?

Many of you can attest to this. ...But I am not writing this to brag to you about what I can do and what I have achieved over the 13 yrs of professionally working on motorcycles.
A car tranny expert told me it would take at least 10 years to figure out the ins and outs of the automatic transmission. I'm just saying, where does that put you at in the humble scale?

10 years = Novice
20 years = Journeyman
30 years = Professional

I am writing this in hopes that maybe others can see the problems and help to eliminate them, even if it means blocking certain people from this site.
Hold on here, 'I'm writing dis in hope I hope I can boot off who wrinkles my wet behinda ears is me being 13 ears inn? WATT? DA ALL? No wonder you get some of it and then stumble some of it. I have no clue of that scale of that range of experience, but what kind of 13 years we talking? A line mechanic or working out of the garage in between welding and other skills acquired?

When I post to someones question, I do so in a manner of no judgement to others.
I already told you that in a PM. It's not you guy. The abstract is so absolute, once the OP ever answers back with the solved riddle, hello? Wasn't that the absolute answer to the problem? Same as me asking you if you know your penultimates and can rattle them off?

If I have offended someone in some way without realizing it, I'm sorry. That was not ever my intentions. I know of one post I made that was comparing a Mechanic vs. Technician and some of you took it very personal.
Well, I never read it, enter many, post to many generals or off topic threads. That's your gig. I like the tech chess game. YOu argue, I discuss.

... Or would you go to someone who has read a few books, done some research off the Internet, and watched a few movies about brain surgery?
Doctors are like car/bike mechanics/tech's... Some are self schooled [shamans], others are schooled that should have never ever picked up knife let alone an adjustable wrench.

Sounds like a no brain er question right? (no pun intended)
Well the same holds true for taking your motorcycle in for repair. Or even listening to what people have to say on this site.
If you are out in the boonies without spares, a tech is dead in the water. A mechanic is a meguyveer and can fix those sort of things. Doctors can get all the schooling and still there is malpractice insurance for that one jerk with a license to kill.

When I post to a thread, for the most part I will say..It's possibly this, or check this, or have you tried this?...I do not pick apart other peoples replies and degrade them.
If you want to run around your OP, that's your deal. If I enter a post I know something about, it will be addressed as if I do not need to add anything to the thread. I think it's heading in said direction? Why repeat the same thing over again? Why not add to it if it sends the OP on a goose of a chase if you walk the 'watt if's.' You're the doctor, so are you saying, 'what if it's your kidney, not the diarrhea coming out the other end, and you have an anal retentive patient that's not saying too much in the first place about his/her posterior. So who looks the ass after all is said and done? It's not that you look bad, but all the crazy hidden variables you didn't connect the dots to. Not your fault. Are you at the bike? No. So relax! Your passion is noted.

Why would you do this? This is grade school stuff done by people who are what we like to call "one uppers". Maybe they were picked on in school? Maybe they lack height in certain areas of their body? Only they know the real answer as to why they feel the need to be right all the time.
Dude, you are making up all that shit. All I'm observing is some "Runner Upper" at most websites I enter. There has to be one out there that just does not get it. Then, they try to psy the 101 shit? Ain't gonna help..LOL

Myself, I call that being a Damn tool!! Myself, I say get off this forum if your gonna act like this.
I usually tell the sad ass to grow some balls they do not like how the public acts in public. You just can't have it your way is the highway? How about your trousers? Checked them lately? You need to grow skin like I'm losing mine with the R&D I do. I gain knowledge when I crash. And you saw how I wired up that bike so I can speak computer bike diagnostics. You and your training, me and my self training is I can hold my own and that's your problem, isn't it?

I hope to be able to remain on here as a member of this forum and help the ones who need help. But, I will not be involved with this grad school BS.
You call it what you like. Last thing you want to do is take your ball and go home you don't like the neighborhood. I call it helping the OP and using any abstract that comes along, guide that person in said direction when others gave a different direction. And we then follow that down a dead end, step by step is that narrowing down of the diagnostics I go thru. So, someone learns something out of dis.

Life is too short to deal with assholes. "Surround yourself with the people who treat you right and love you most" That's how I live my life.
-Andrew
Well, Andrew, I reflect. I do unto others ass they do dig a hole unto me is help them with that little ditch for that little prick that gets too close is you get my drift, right?

You never involve me with the OP and me, no matter what or where I find my abstract. WE Understand? Now, you start to push members out of some website because you take offense to some people? Who is in hi skool here? YOu might as well go sit in a corner with the dunce cap on in that school your mentality is in. What you need to take another crack at it, and concentrate on that diagnostics so I don't have to create 29 pages of entertainment. :D

Be humble, 13yr old. Still lots to learn. Remember, you have yet to answer the penultimate so watt do you expect? Here is 15 minutes you will not get back is don't watch the generic runner upper no matter where I go.

Holy cow, I hope this isn't about my nipples gone bad comment.
I look forward to your comments or posts, if anyone has the know how and experience, it would be you and ofcourse that guy that has nearly 100k miles on his bike, whats his name, Raywood:D

See
Now you've gone and upset Sven
Damn it................:job:
Why don't both of you shut up and just help people on here when they ask for it and quit worrying about who might be the better mechanic or who might have the better idea.
Whatever one posts should be off limit to the other and the one being helped can decide who they want to listen to.

This is why I don't leave my shop very often.

Hey Andrew, don't let things become personal... Hell, I've had numerous death threats against me and I'm still here. It's the internet, plenty of keyboard commandos.

Thank you all for the positive comments...
With all due respect. Kaptin and Bubblehead, I feel your wrong...as you can clearly see, SVEN has an issue. I have received several messages from members stating that this guy brings no good to this site.
It's not about who is the better wrench...it's about respect. This forum does not need this harassment.

I know tech
It would be nice if a person could just "get respect" but it just doesn't happen that way in this world. And you can't just go around banning people for every little reason. Then you end up with a club for members only which I don't think thats what this forum is.
As highly respected as you are on this site it justs pains me to see you wallowing around in the mud.
Knots also has a really good point. Since you and Sven obviously don't get along just block him then you won't ever see his posts.

As a new member to this site with my first BD, which started leaking tranny oil within the first two weeks I cant express my gratitude enough for everyone on this site for helping me figure it out. Andrew (Bigdogtech01) personally took the time to call me and walk me through trouble shooting the tranny. Not sure what others think, but in my book, Andrew is a topnotch stand up guy who clearly earned my respect!

I must have missed something, but I can say one thing that there is this one asshole (for lack of better words or education) that always post or contradicts what other post by using all this sophisticated language. I am sure he doesn't know what he is saying or his ass from a hold in the ground so what do I do. SKIP that post and read the others. No one on here knows everything or at least I don't which is why I try to help each other with the little I know about motorcycles and not what the fucking dictionary says or the rule the we should use to fix something :bang: I think we all know who that short dick poster is

If all of you have a short dick than I am sorry and take that last sentence back :spank:

As Carlos said, I skip certain members posts because all their posts do is piss me off.
I am in agreement with Andrew, if your comments are negative, LEAVE THEM OFF! I don't know a fraction of what Andrew knows, but I share a common goal with him of wanting to be a asset to this forum.
