2005 Bulldog,

Went through the painful process of getting my starter loose and it just doesn't have the clearance to slide straight out.......reckon the belt has to come off to get some more wiggle room! :(

It does on my 07' Mastiff, clutch push rod and cover, front head exhaust on the big radius exhaust and you can prolly pull the belt off without loosing the rear axel, but I doubt you will get the belt back on without loosing it.

Yeah, staring at that big axle nut and burst into tears!!!
Just loosen the nut and only back off the axle adjustment screw on the belt side, give the tire a kick and you'll be able to get the belt back on easy, then readjust the belt tension. You could use feeler gauges to measure the distance from the belt and tire and adjust it right back to the feelers.:old2:
Then tighten the axle nut back up

Holy crap Ker!

Got lucky ....loosened up the battery box and got enough play to get her out.....

Minus the gear end of the jackshaft! Busted right off.....

i'll get her off to Curtis as soon as he is back up to speed.

Thanks for the encouragement gang.
