I had an issue over the weekend where after starting my bike,it stalled,I tried to start it again and got the "click".Battery registered 13.3 V's,Now when it stalled I hit the start button, before the click I heard a funky noise at the starter,So I pulled out the plunger to make sure the contacts were clean only to find the plunger spring snapped, only about 1/4 inch piece,I was able to stretch out the remaining piece to work, for now, with all that ,I'm guessing from the spring snapping, somehow my starter relay crapped out,I was able to get a replacement for that.
Is there an underlying issue that I should look for that may have caused the spring to snap or is that something that can just happen??,,,Good thing I was not out on the road,I'm going to be getting one of them slam buttons as insurance.
