Stainless Creations

Ahhhh...

Pipes were on my doorstep when I got home from Daytona so tonight I installed them and I am much impressed with the turn out.

These are the Stainless Creations C4L Pipes with Big City Thunder baffles in them:

And here there are after a ride. I have always liked how the stainless turns a gold shade instead of blue. I think it looks cool with my orange paint!

Jake, be careful of that transmission mount. My wrath pipe caused mine to strip out. Just make sure the bolt is long enough to get some threads to hold it in properly. I had to get a 1/4" longer bolt once I fixed the stipped threads.

Then the bracket broke!!!

I'll be trying to get a sound clip/video tomorrow when I get home.

They are louder than my Mean Mothers, but deeper tone and no decel pop.

And I was impressed, It feels like I gained 5-10 HP across the RPM range.

It pulls harder all the way up!!! I was going to be happy if they would have just performed as well as the mean mothers!!

The sound is awesome! And it made a difference in performance over the V&H 2 into 1's. At least it sure seems too.:whoop:
Chain, did you get that mounting bracket fixed. Both of mine haven't worked well either. My first pair wasn't even close but that was back in 04 and one of the first RSD bikes so sent them back but it still didn't fit so had to rig it up myself.
But looks like your's doesn't fit either.

I wish he would come up with a better/cleaner mounts. Love his pipes but........

Raywood,

Give Clint a call and ask him to send you the new bracket for the Big Dog. When he sent the pipes, he didn't know they were for a BDM application because I bought them from him off Ebay. So my bracket was for a standard Baker trans like your bracket. He sent me the BDM offset bracket for the BDM/Baker trans. That is what you need, here is a pic:

I have that same bracket Jake and Dave. It's the one that ripped the threads out of the tranny coming back from Sturgis. But my Wrath pipe again the same kind of mount uses the front lower tranny mount and I'm not going to let it rip that one out.
I may try to adapt a Martin Bros bracket that use two of the tranny bolts instead of just one.

Thanks guys

not trying to change the thread, but, you guys like the oil gauge better back there, over putting it on the tappet screen hole????

I do. I can clean my tappet out with out having to deal with the guage... I am sure it's just as quick on the tappet. Works well for me.

I got mine in my tappet screen hole...like Chain said....just as quick....I just unscrew the whole gauge with the adapter as one to clean....just the same as taking out the tappet plug...

For me it's keeping the gauge further away from the exhaust pipe plus I wouldn't want to fool with it over the tappet. Pain in the ass with the pressure switch on there too. :D

I made this up so that my bracket would fit. Just took some stainless and cut it to work. Took like 15 minutes, otherwise I might have been bent. Took longer to bench it up to shine.:2thumbs:

Before, notice the bracket is slightly short.... doh!

After!
