Did he have his surgery? and is he already back to work?So after going through a few of the items mentioned here things still just didn't seem right to me. Luckily I'm not too far from Curtis and was able to drop it off at Wild Steed Worx. He's giving the bike a full once over for me.
So I was noticing a squealing sound from the bike today. Almost like the belt on a car. Seemed more pronounced when shifting and / or turning. Any ideas? Thought maybe the tire rubbing, but I don't see any wear.
there's a cap on the right side it needs to be packed with grease its particular to an S&S trans so a harley mech wont know had the same problemSo I was noticing a squealing sound from the bike today. You don't know how lucky you are to have a good shop that's savvy on BDM's. My 4 month old Mastiff still ain't right after multiple visits to the shop and about a grand. So after going through a few of the items mentioned here things still just didn't seem right to me. So far the belt noise and wobble in the rear was caused by some bad wheel bearings and a damaged/improperly tensioned belt. There are several other things wrong with the bike so I'm really glad I took it in.
Frustrating to have a "new" bike with a bunch of problems, but at least I've got someone knowledgeable close by to help get it straightened out. Can't wait to get the bike back the way it's supposed to be.

Runs like shit, wont idle without playing the throttle, when riding no power and misfiring. Kinda like fouled plugs, but they're not. All fuel delivery components replaced, as well as plugs and wires. Back to the shop tomorrow. What's going on?

Could be an intake leak? Start the bike and let it warm up, spray carb cleaner around the manifolds, carb, exhaust. If it changes the idle you defiantely have a leak. Also check the rubber cap on the carb if they dry rot and crack this can also create a leakRuns like shit, wont idle without playing the throttle, when riding no power and misfiring. Intake was checked, gasket changed. I'm thinking electronic at this point. Been in contact with both Axel and Slick. Injector firing is, in part, controlled by EHC . It can't be fuel delivery or breathing, hell, I've changed all that.Could be an intake leak?
Besides, it's EFI bike. Kinda wishin for a carb right about now.Intake was checked, gasket changed. I'm thinking electronic at this point. Been in contact with both Axel and Slick. Injector firing is, in part, controlled by EHC . It can't be fuel delivery or breathing, hell, I've changed all that.
May want to Check your spark plug wires too,Besides, it's EFI bike. Kinda wishin for a carb right about now.
Thanks guys. New plugs and plug wires, this started as intermittent and is now constant. New injectors, plugs, plug wires, intake gasket, fuel pump, air filter. I'm lost, and so it's back to the shop I guess. Short of hauling it to Daytona and rolling the dice on a different shop, I'm out of options.Make sure the plug wires aren't crossed. Front coil wire to front plug, rear coil wire to rear plug
What type of wires? Reason I am asking is that certain wires have been known to cause issues. Thanks guys. New plugs and plug wires, this started as intermittent and is now constant.
