Speedo Replacement

I think i need to replace my speedo on my 02 pitbull. any other brands fit or gotta be 1 from BD? Where can i get a BD for an 02?

Ok thanks. i need to make sure its my actual sppedo thats my prob first. It just keeps flashig Adjus,PULSE,and one other word like OCEL. weird huh? Also my calibration button does nuthing any more.

You may pull your speedo sensor and clean it off and check your wire from front to rear to make sure it is intact. Did it just start acting up or was it gradual ?

It was sort of gradual my calibration button would fix it for a little while then it would begin flashing again now the button does nothing

Ive cleaned the sensor before and i will again just to be sure bet ive never checked the whole wire. I did disconnect it from the bike and hook up the hot and grnd wire to a batt and it does the same as it does when on the bike but that has nothing to do with my speed sensor wire.Would it even have to have a reading from the speed sensor if the bike is
sitting still?

Mine does not have 2 studs to tighten it down. The body of mine has threads and a cap squeezes it tight against the chrome on the tank.
