Mine wasn't covered when it let go at the Little Sturgis event. Others have had them covered though so is a case by case I guess.

I just sent mine out to Barnett a few minutes ago....I called BDM and they said hope I get more miles out of my new one and they couldn't do anything for me...so I sent Barnett a e-mail......and here was my reply back....I posted this in the clutch cable poll thread...now I will have a spare cable soon..
I am going to send my cable back to Barnett....being that Big Dog won't do anything for me...
I got this reply back from them today!
E-mail reply..

Sorry to hear about your cable. If you have a Baker Transmission there was a design change. Send us the cable and we will repair or replace it. Or you can go through Big Dog, they should replace it at no charge.

Thanks Guys,
sent an email to BDM, see what happens but looks as though Im paying for it ! Oh well Like Chopper Dave says I hope I get more miles out of this one. Just in case anyone was wondering i was downshifting fom 3rd to 2nd. Just had the 5000 mile service done 100 miles before the cable snapped. Sucks but if thats the worst i have to worry about than Im Happy..

Big Dog Steps up for me again.

So I emailed BDM On Tuesday about the cable. I also asked my service center to put in a claim for a new cable even though they told me it was not covered and that Big Dog had previously denied several claims for cables in the past. Well They called yesterday to inform me that Big dog had called and after a brief conversation told them they would cover it, so Kudos to Big Dog again.....I know some have had negative experiences with BDM but Im telling you They have been more than generous with me on several issues that they could have said "your on your own" . :2thumbs:

Sorry to hear this guys, I installed a new one last week with attempts to avoid getting stranded somewhere and have a spare if I ever need it.
