Yeah but it's about 1 every 5000 miles with my mileage so that may make it a little more easy to take. :whoop: This one and several others were replaced cause they leaked not that they failed. Out of the nine I only had two that failed me. Bottm line is BDM has come through for me everytime.
Yeah BDM is great to deal with... just don't start cussing at them... that will get you no where but a voided warrenty.

Extra gallon, adventure of the [North]West indeed. No easy fix for that one - I'm not about to trash my spiffy new paint job [yet]. But there's this gas station in Whitehorse? The Primary Spousal Unit and myself have coasted down the hill on fumes twice now - the attendants are recognizing us. ;^} (cynical smirk)
I don't have anything fancy just plain black so cutting up the tank is no big deal. And I have ran out of gas a few times so need to do something about it.
My brother is going to cut out the tunnel and gas cap. Then we are going to cut it down the middle and then we will widen (open) up the front end a couple inches. Then we will tilt it out a few degrees from the top. Then weld in the tunnel and make the missing material and weld it in and then put the cap in closer to the top.
Thinking this will give me another gallon. My 3.4 gl tank doesn't go far so another gallon will be good on the long runs. :D

Then I will have it repainted black and probably put on some gold leaf and maybe a pinup girl.

Gotta do something to compete with my ridin buddies with there fancy paint jobs. :whoop: :whoop:

Later,
Ray

Here's an old trick...stick a penny in the tread head first and if you can see the top of Lincolns head it's time to replace the tire. I have never seen any bike use 8 starters before!!! And I have never seen one break in half!!!...lets hope once she's outta warranty it quits eating starters.
