SAVING YOUR CHROME

As most of you know scratching the chrome is pretty easy to do. The dust will do a number on it. So my solution to this is I bought a can of compressed air and I blow off the area to be wiped down. Works great! I guess you could use your air compresser but I like using a can. I wish I would of figured this out before I scratched my rocker box's. I just thought I would pass this on. Shine on!

One more thing is wax your chrome this too can help to stop the chrome from pitting because chrome is porous and moisture can cause pitting over time.

I can attest to that. I opened up a brand new chrome belt guard to day to install it. It was wrapped in a plastic bag which was not sealed. It was already starting to get rust spots on it. It did clean up with some simachrome.
