Getting winds here in NC, I am inland (Sanford/Raleigh) and we are expected to get winds up to 40mph. Our beaches are supposed to be up to 60 mph. Not bad here but I feel for everyone north of us. Stay safe and please don't wait until the last minute. Take care everyone!
Im in Cary and work in Sanford and yes not even a drop of rain here yet but looks like maybe today. The Coast is getting it all now!

I am partners in a manufacturing company in central NJ with 35 employes, 10 CNC machines and a 42,000 sq. ft. building. Last August Irene left me with 10" of water in the entire building. 100K in damages, I do not need this again. Stay Safe!!!!!

Irene kicked our ass up here last year. Hope/pray this won't be as bad. Looks like its going to be south of me - Jersey, Long Island. If its comming your way please be prepaired - Don't under estimate - Over plan everything - and get your bike on a lift or to higher ground- saw way too many salvage flood bikes in our area .

To all my East Coast compadres, this damn Sandy is not looking good at all and is expected to give many of us hell and possibly historic weather. With that in mind, my best wishes for eveyone to be safe, get through what ever this bitch will throw our way and to be very attentative to the changes.

Do not wait till the last moment to get ready, do not take her lightly and pray that evedn if you spend the next few days getting bunkered up like the last surviallist in some hidden Montana cave and nothing happens, better to laugh it off than regret later.

Prayers to everyone on the east and for me ready to ride the bitch out a little bit inland, but not looking good none the less. Generator is fuel, chain saw is sharp, water is stocked, prtable heaters ready to go.

Bring it on bitch.
It's starting to rain hard now, wind is picking up. Saying 10" of rain over night now and more during week. Could be worse than last years flood :( I'll be heading for high ground if it gets to be real bad.
Thoughts to everyone.

Good luck to all in the path of this monster.
I have friends in NC i have not been able to contact them, i guess they have run for the hills.

Looks like southeast, va dodged the bullet. Not so for our northern neighbors wishing the best for the northeast.

Buffalo NY weather predicts 60+mph gusts overnight with 2-4 inches of rain by tomorow evening. Downed trees, power lines and power outages likely with flooding in low areas.

Just saw this comparison on FB

I'm heading up there tomorrow, anybody know anything about the condition of the runways at JFK or LGA? I heard damage, but haven't verified....
