I have a 1998 CMC chopper with a 1998 EVO S&S. The Brute III old style clutch hub wore out so Rivera upgraded the hub to a new style brute iii free floating clutch hub. My question is, they said put in 7 Kevlars & 8 steels. I’m pretty damn sure I adjusted the clutch right. Loosened up the clutch cable, the 4 clutch hub nuts I just snugged up, the middle clutch adjuster Allen screw I screwed in till it touched and backed off about 1/4 to 1/2 turn and tighten the clutch cable till it had about an 1/8 of play. Wow that clutch handle is way to hard to pull in??? Any ideas please

Lube the cable. Re-adjust the clutch again. You may have to adjust several times to find your sweet spot.

you retighten the 4hub nuts? When I adjusted my clutch,I didn’t do anything to the hub nuts, just the Allen screw and cable adjuster. Works fine for me.
