I have closed on the K-9 and it should be here within 2 weeks. I am EXTREMELY excited!! I will have to find a mechanic and have him check the EHC and the bolts. As soon as I have it in my garage, I will post some pics!

Don't think you will need to "check" the EHC. Its not as bad as its rep, and if it does have issues, you will know it..ie something won't work. Nothing to check unless you remove it and have it function tested by someone like Curtis. I wouldn't sweat it, just ride.

My K9 is an 06 and I am still running the original EHC with no problems whatsoever. The only thing I had going tits-up was the VR.

05 Chopper still running EHC, as long as everything is working don't sweat it!

06 K-9 with 24K miles, still running the original EHC. Replaced the back bone wiring harness a year ago and everything works as a champ. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
