Rice burner to BD

I was gonna suggest that you have the seller romp the throttle (listen for a stumble) to see if the carbeurator has been jetted right after the spike air intake and exhaust upgrades. The main reason I suggest you look at that issue is that the idle rate is too low so he may have messed around with it at home and that's why its idling like that.

Ok. I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm hopefully closing on a 2007 K-9 in a couple of days. It's a 1 owner with 37k miles. Getting it for a good price and I'll get some pics up whenever it gets here (I'm in TN and it's coming fro MO).

You can expect people staring at you...coming up to you to ask questions. If your the shy type don't buy it!

The owner never had the title transferred into his name so the bank wouldn't cut him a cashier's check and he said he didn't want to fool with getting it transferred into his name. So the deal was dead.
Also, I have read this on a few recall websites "On certain motorcycles, the rear fender strut attaching bolts can fail allowing the rear fender to detach from the motorcycle". How can I check to see if this has been taken care of? Or can I assume it has with the bike being 8 years old?

I'm looking at buying an 07 Mastiff. My last bike was a ZX-6R. I have been riding various bikes for years but this will be my first Big Dog. What can I expect?

Thanks in advance!
My first Street bike was a GSXR 1100! To this day, (and that was 25 years ago), it was the fastest motor vehicle I have ever driven! But that being said there is no comparison to my Mastiff! I love my Big Dog and when I am riding it the sound of the motor and the way it feels rolling the throttle on is euphoric! :whoop:After owning a Big Dog I will not ride anything else! Like I said, there's no comparison! :old2::cheers::chopper:

If the EHC hasn't been replaced is that something I can do myself? I am not very mechanically inclined but I am willing to learn and a quick learner. Will I need to become mechanically inclined owning a BD?
Use the ehc saga to your advantage lower the price a grand. just in case!! and find a trusted mechanic ,its not your average bike ,ITS A HOT ROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn sounds like a cold shower is in order after a ride like that!

Don't think you will need to "check" the EHC. Its not as bad as its rep, and if it does have issues, you will know it..ie something won't work. Nothing to check unless you remove it and have it function tested by someone like Curtis. I wouldn't sweat it, just ride.
