It is threaded and it's standard right hand. They can be a nightmare to get off. I eventually used a hammer. :D Then I ordered a new Adjure headlight bucket off ebay and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Try the less destructive route first though and see if you can spin the ring out. Search and you'll find quite a few methods that have worked.

I had to spray my trim ring with WD-40 and use a small rubber mallet to get it break loose, then you can turn it by hand

I use two straight punches to in two of the three holes to loosen it. There is an oring behind it. Once out. Wipe the threads so it goes in easier. While you have it out wash out the headlamp. They get dirty inside. I use hot water and dish soap. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying.

Remember there is two set screws one for the outer ring and one for the inner ring. Don't forget to remove them both!! Or you will be ordering a new headlight bucket sooner rather than later.

I just performed this nightmare job today. I finally got it apart using several of the technics listed. Got the new led daymaker installed and all put back together. Shortly after I got the tools put up I went in the house and ordered a new adjure bucket...lol. Don't ever want to do this again!

You'll have to do it at least one more time if you want to save that Daymaker.
